🎯 Battleship Rules in Fan Fundom 🚢


Ahoy, players! Get ready to fire your torpedoes and sink the mod’s fleet! Here’s everything you need to know to get started in the Battleship challenge.




🛠️ Game Setup
The mod controls the fleet, which includes the Aircraft Carrier (5 spaces), Battleship (4 spaces), Cruiser (3 spaces), Submarine (3 spaces), and Destroyer (2 spaces).


There will also be a Chameleon Ship, a secret ship created by the mod. Details will be shared separately in a special post.


The mod’s ships are placed on each grid, and you can attack either a 5x5, 7x7, or 10x10 grid.




💥 How to Play
Players take turns firing shots at the mod's ships by selecting a coordinate (e.g., “A5”). The torpedoes you fire most of the time will be regular torpedoes.


Mod's recommendation is that you use special torpedoes (e.g., Ship Locator, Cluster Shot) strategically since each player gets one of each per game. Details about these torpedoes will be posted separately.


Players can call shots on designated days of the week, such as Monday, and possibly Wednesday and Friday. A new post will be created for each shot day, and you will comment with your shot coordinates there.


Players can earn up to 5 EARNED shots per week, based on their activity. This is the maximum number of shots a player can take in any given week which is five.


The board will be regularly updated to reflect all shots, including hits, misses, and any sunken ships. The mod will post this regularly to keep everyone in the loop.




📜 How to Call Your Shot - READ CAREFULLY!
When calling a shot, use this format for clarity.


Feel free to copy and paste them when you're calling your shots.


Please start a new thread PER SHOT called. Do NOT call them all at one time:


For the 5x5 Grid:
Shot(s) on Card 5x5: [Coordinate] Special Torpedo: [None or Torpedo Name]


For the 7x7 Grid:
Shot(s) on Card 7x7: [Coordinate] Special Torpedo: [None or Torpedo Name]


For the 10x10 Grid:
Shot(s) on Card 10x10: [Coordinate] Special Torpedo: [None or Torpedo Name]


Example:

Only shots posted in the official shot-call posts will count, so be sure to comment in the correct weekly post!




🎯 Scoring System
A successful strike aka hitting a ship awards 10 points per hit. Each time you hit one of the mod’s ships, you earn 10 points. Multiple players can score if they hit the same ship at different times.


The player who delivers the final blow that sinks a ship earns an additional 25 points.


The player who deals the most hits to a ship before it sinks earns an extra 50 points. If there’s a tie for most hits, the points will be split evenly between the tied players.




⚔️ Strategic Tips
Use special torpedoes wisely! Some special torpedoes can locate ships, others deal area damage. The more strategic your attacks, the more points you’ll rack up.


You can choose whether to attack aggressively and take more risks, or hold back to save special torpedoes for later in the game round for bonus points.

To ensure you’re posting your shots count they MUST be posted on the designated day(s). 


Please make a new thread for each shot called.


You can only take up to 5 EARNED shots per week. Once you hit that limit, you’ll have to wait for the next week to earn more.


Only post shots in the official shot-call posts will count. Please make sure they’re formatted correctly!
